Wage Subsidy Scheme

The Wage Subsidy Scheme (WSS) provides a financial incentive to employers, outside the public sector, to employ people with disabilities for at least 21 hours per week.

The subsidy is paid by the Department of Social Protection to employers on an on-going basis.

Example 2

It will cost an employer €100.50 per week (excluding employer’s PRSI) based on 30 hours at minimum wage rate.
